Country Pest Management

We are a Pest Management company based in Gilgandra, specialising in Pre Purchase Timber Pest Inspections, Termite Inspections, Termite Treatments and General Pest Control.

Country Pest Management is a division of Country Building Consultants Pty Ltd., and was formed to provide both the Pest and Building Inspections for prospective purchasers. Both inspections are conducted during the one site visit, which means access is easier to organise, particularly with remote properties. The one site visit also reduces the intrusion on the occupants.

Given the need for competent inspectors and technicians in the area, we have also established a Pest Control side of the business, specialising in Termite Treatments and General Pest Control.Termites

Pre-Purchase Timber Pest Inspections

Pre-Purchase Timber Pest InspectionsA Pre-Purchase Timber Pest Inspection should be carried out before a property is purchased to make sure the property is not infested by termites or other timber pests. Timber pests can cause costly damage if allowed to go unchecked and can reduce the value of a property.

A detailed inspection is conducted on the building, including the roof void, sub-floor, internal and external walls, adjacent landscaping, trees and fences within the property boundaries. The inspection involves the detection or non-detection of live termite activity, borer activity, timber decay, chemical delignification, and evidence of damage caused by these pests, and includes details of areas of risk.

Our inspector, Brian Irvin, is a qualified Pest Management Technician, as well as a qualified Building Consultant. Brian’s extensive building knowledge gives credence to the Timber Pest Inspection, as technical building advice can also be given regarding potential damage and repairs, if required.

Termite Inspections

Pre-Purchase Timber Pest InspectionsTermites are found throughout Australia causing millions of damage to homes everywhere they can find food. The problem is so bad that insurance companies will not cover termite damage in your home. This means that if your house is infested with termites, you are going to have to pay to have them removed and to have the damage repaired.

It is essential that regular inspections of a property are conducted to assist in the detection or non-detection of live termite activity, and evidence of termite damage, including details of areas of risk.
